The Alpha Communications® / S.T.R.™ AM40 Auxiliary Relay Module is used with the QwikBUS™ series intercom and / or video-intercom systems. The AM40 plugs into the QwikBUS™ series intercom and / or video-intercom station, and provides a normally-open, dry contact closure, when the station is being called from a lobby or entrance station. This allows connection of a separately powered device, such as a strobe, loud bell, etc. The AM40 gets its power from the QwikBUS™ series intercom and/or video-intercom station directly, by means of a plug-in wiring harness and connector.
